This policy explains how Atelier Stateful handles personal information when you buy or use its products. This first part applies to every product. Each product then has its own section.
Who is responsible
Steven Lacroix is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. Send questions and requests about your information to hello@atelierstateful.com.
Purchases
Purchases use Stripe Managed Payments. Link, a Stripe service, is the merchant of record. Stripe processes the information that the purchase needs, such as your email address, payment details, and tax information. Its Privacy Policy explains how Stripe uses this information.
We never receive your full card number. We keep your email address and the Stripe payment reference, so that we can deliver and support your purchase. The section of each product lists what else that product keeps.
Delivery email
We use the email address that you give at checkout to deliver your purchase, for example a license key. Resend sends this email.
Support email
When you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message. We use them to answer you and to support your purchase. Fastmail stores these messages.
Who processes the information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the services that we need to sell and support our products:
- Stripe (Link) processes the purchase.
- Cloudflare hosts our websites and the online services that our products use.
- Resend delivers the email that carries your purchase.
- Fastmail stores the messages that you send to us.
- Google receives the domain names of websites when Arcful requests their icons.
These services can store information outside Québec and Canada, including in the United States. Laws in those places can permit access by local authorities.
How we protect it
We keep as little information as we can, and we protect what we keep:
- Every connection to our websites, our online services, and the services above uses encrypted HTTPS.
- Access to our online services and their data is limited to the accounts of Atelier Stateful.
- Access to our mailboxes uses a passkey or a password with two-step verification.
- If a security incident creates a risk of serious harm to you, we tell you and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, as Québec law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep the record of a purchase for as long as the product that you bought needs it, for example for as long as a license exists. We keep it longer if tax or accounting law requires it. We keep support messages for as long as we need them to answer you and to support your purchase. You can ask us to delete information that the law does not require us to keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information that we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to hello@atelierstateful.com. For payment information that Stripe holds, contact Stripe through the contact options in its Privacy Policy.
If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, or to the privacy regulator where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, we publish the new version on this page with a new date.
